The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), together with the Organization of American States (OAS), as the technical secretariat of the Inter-American Network of Government Procurement (RICG), and the technical support of the consulting firm IDOM; carried out a study that allowed them to analyze and identify the level of appropriation of innovation and digital transformation in 10 national public procurement agencies in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The iNNSite portal was born as part of the actions identified in the roadmap of the "Study of appropriation of the maturity level of innovation and digital transformation", in order to have an interactive space that facilitates the dissemination and exchange of good practices. and lessons learned between practitioners of public procurement and multisectoral actors, which lead to inspire and guide countries on how to carry out open innovation processes based on the identification of challenges and solutions; as well as generate collaborative and co-creation opportunities.
On the other hand, it allows institutions to measure their level of innovation and digital transformation, through a questionnaire-like tool, to generate a self-assessment on the level of maturity of the agencies and the identification of opportunities for improvement, through actions specifics and recommendations.
